SACRAMENTO — Josh Richardson will not play against the Sacramento Kings Thursday night.
Richardson, a former University of Tennessee basketball player, will miss his second consecutive game for the Philadelphia 76ers.
The former Vol suffered a concussion in Sunday’s 136-130 loss to the Clippers on Sunday at Staples Center in Los Angeles. He left that game after colliding with teammate Alex Burks.
Richardson has been sidelined with various injuries this season after joining the 76ers following a Draft Day trade in 2019. He missed games in November, December and January and is one of three starters who will not be in action against the Kings.
Joel Embiid has a sprained shoulder and Ben Simmons has a nerve impingement in his lower back and neither player made the trip to California, which also included a 120-107 loss to the Lakers Tuesday in Los Angeles.
