Post-combine mock draft still has Cardinals taking CeeDee Lamb

He is the first receiver off the board as it is a choice between receivers and offensive linemen.

The NFL combine is wrapping up in Indianapolis and now mock drafts will take into consideration the performance of the draft prospects there. However, it doesn’t appear to change much for the Arizona Cardinals.

In Trevor Sikkema’s post-combine mock draft for The Draft Network, he has the Cardinals taking Oklahoma CeeDee Lamb.

At the combine podium sessions, Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that if his quarterback, Kyler Murray, was the one making the pick, CeeDee Lamb would be his choice at No. 8 overall.

Well, he may not be making the pick, but that pick could still come true.

Lamb wasn’t the best athlete from the wide receiver group, but we knew that was going to be the case, and once he got on the field for the drills, he reminded us why he’s still considered WR1 by many.

Four top defensive players are all off the board already. Only one offensive lineman — Louisville’s Mekhi Becton — is off the board, so it comes down to whether the Cardinals like a receiver better or another lineman like Tristan Wirfs, Jedrick Wills or Andrew Thomas.

An interesting change in this mock draft? Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy is the third receiver drafted, taken after teammate Henry Ruggs, who has the best 40 time at the combine.
