Boston’s Tacko Fall tries his hand at boxing, swimming this week

Boston Celtics two way center Tacko Fall has been dabbling in boxing and swimming after taking in some WWE wrestling this week.

Boston Celtics big man Tacko Fall is proving quite the renaissance man when it comes to sports of late.

Not long after making an appearance at a WWE event when the world-famous wrestling outfit made a stop at TD Garden, where the Senegalese center linked up with his favorite wrestler John Cena, Fall got in the ring for a different combat sport with fellow wrestling enthusiast Enes Kanter.

His Turkish frontcourt teammate posted a video of the duo sparring on Twitter recently, but the “fight” was far from a serious contest.

Neither were at any sort of real risk, both throwing soft-pitch punches at one another in likely recognition a serious blow could put them at risk for some time in the NBA’s concussion protocol.

The 7-foot-5 big man also dove into another sport he’s been dabbling in — though in this case, the dive was literal.

Fall went for his third-ever swimming lesson, which he began this fall with the Charlestown Boys and Girls Club and was documented by Boston.com’s Nicole Yang then and now.

While it may look a bit unusual to see such a large man buoyed by a handful of wacky noodles for support, Fall is starting to look at home as a swimmer, and may yet add another athletic pursuit to his expanding repertoire.

Given the Conakry native grew up playing soccer and has even shown some skill driving Go-Karts, it’s probably safe to say that the UCF product isn’t afraid to try new experiences — even if they can be a bit more awkward for the prodigiously tall 24-year-old.
