There is a possibility of Linval Joseph being on the move, and if that’s the case, the Vikings will have to add depth to the defensive tackle position in the offseason.
One of the ways Minnesota can do that is through the draft.
That’s what Walter Football has them doing. The outlet predicted that the Vikings would take Justin Madubuike, a defensive tackle out of Texas A&M, in a recent mock draft.
Here’s what they said about the choice:
“Linval Joseph is still a dominant presence in the interior, but he’ll turn 32 next season. He’ll decline soon, and the Vikings could use some help next to him in the meantime.”
So it appears that the site thinks that Joseph could stay on the team, and the Vikings would still draft a defensive tackle. That’s definitely possible, but I think they would go for a defensive tackle later in the draft if Joseph stays.
