Joel Embiid, 25, is still so young in his career that he just played in his 200th regular season game Monday night.
While playing his 200th game, Embiid achieved a milestone that only two other players in NBA history have earned.
According to Justin Kubatko of Stat Muse, Embiid has averaged at least 24 points and 10 rebounds a game in the first 200 games of his career, joining David Robinson and Shaquille O’Neal as the only players to accomplish the feat since the NBA merged with the ABA in 1976.
For Embiid, a three-time All-Star, the night served as a reminder of why his blend of size and skill makes him one of the best players in the league.

Embiid had one of the best games of his career, scoring a career-high 49 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to record his 33rd double-double of the season.
The Sixers’ leading scorer, Embiid is averaging a double-double for a third straight season. He’s scoring 23.8 points per game and grabbing 12.0 rebounds a game. As one of the best rebounders in the league, Embiid ranks sixth in rebounds per game.
With Ben Simmons out indefinitely because of a back injury, Embiid must continue to carry the scoring load. Simmons has missed two of the past three games, and Embiid scored at least 30 points in both games Simmons was out.
The Sixers will play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday in Cleveland, with tip off set for 7 p.m. EST.
