It’s time for one of the most fun things about The Masters: the champions dinner menu has mostly been revealed by the 2019 winner, Tiger Woods.
In years past, we’ve seen some incredible offerings. Patrick Reed served ribeye as the main course with some awesome sides (corn creme brulee, mac and cheese, creamed spinach and steam broccoli) in 2019. In that same post linked to above, I cited Woods’ 1998 dinner that had cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, fries and … milkshakes! It was a simple but good menu.
It turns out Woods might be bringing back shakes for a very good reason. Via Golfweek, here’s what he said to reports on Tuesday:
“I’m debating whether or not to have milkshakes as desserts because that was one of the most great memories to see Gene Sarazen and Sam Snead having milkshakes that night in ’98.”
The rest of the menu: steak and chicken fajitas and “sushi and sashimi out on the deck.” A solid bunch of offerings all around, especially if there are milkshakes.
