On Saturday, Rodions Kurucs made his first appearance in a game on the Brooklyn Nets’ behalf since February 5. On Sunday, the Nets elected to assign the forward to their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.
Subsequently, Kurucs will not be available for Brooklyn’s game against the Orlando Magic on Monday. Dzanan Musa and Nic Claxton also won’t be available for Monday’s game at Barclays Center. They are on assignment with Long Island, as is two-way player Jeremiah Martin.
Kurucs has played in nine games for Long Island this season. He’s averaging 10.4 points per game on 47.6% shooting while logging 26.4 minutes a night. Kurucs is also averaging 5.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and one steal per game at the G League level.
For Brooklyn, Kurucs has appeared in 33 games. He’s averaging 4.6 points per game on 48.7% shooting, while playing 12.9 minutes per appearance.
