Bol Bol attended an Oregon Ducks game over the All-Star break

The Nuggets two-way rookie made a rare public appearance over the All-Star break by returning to Oregon.

Denver Nuggets rookie Bol Bol returned to his former school over the NBA All-Star break to watch the Ducks host the Colorado Buffaloes at Matthew Knight Arena.

The second-round pick was onhand on campus as the then-ranked No. 17 Ducks defeated the No. 16 Buffaloes last Friday, 68-60. Will Richardson led Oregon with 21 points while Payton Pritchard added 15 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

Of course, Bol played in just nine games last season at Oregon after undergoing season-ending foot surgery. He was once considered to be a first-round pick but dropped to the second round due to lingering injury concerns with his foot.

Bol was cleared to play this season but has just eight appearances in the G League with the Windy City Bulls. He last played on Dec. 14 when he recorded 10 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Bol is averaging 12 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in the G League.

The Nuggets haven’t offered many details of his injury and have only listed him as out due to injury maintenance. He was said to have a strict minutes restriction in the G League and averaged 19.2 minutes in his eight appearances.

Bol was the 44th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
