Report: Eagles fan who punched police horse in trouble with law, again

An Eagles fan who punched a police horse in 2018 is in trouble, again.

Taylor Hendricks has a problem with horseplay and horse play. The Philadelphia Eagles fan who got in trouble for punching a police horse in January of 2018 is back in trouble with the law, according to Lehighvalleylive.com

The 24-year-old Allentown man was charged with punching a police horse in 2018. He was kicked out of a Philadelphia Eagles playoff game for drinking too much and repeatedly punched the horse outside the stadium, according to police.

His second mistake? He barged into a stranger’s home and beat one of the occupants bloody. For that, Northampton County Judge Samuel Murray sentenced Hendricks on Wednesday to four months to two years in prison.

“It was the worst night of my life,” said the Bethlehem woman who answered the door for Hendricks at 1:30 a.m. June 1. She lives in the home in the 400 block of Birkel Avenue with her boyfriend. Both are engineering students at Lehigh University.

Hendricks’ issues magnify when he drinks, according to his attorney.

“He’s a pretty responsible guy except for his periodic bouts with drinking,” defense attorney Gary Asteak said.
