NFL free agency: Drew Brees hints at return to New Orleans

Drew Brees wants to “make another run” at a Super Bowl in 2020.

Two of the most accomplished passers in NFL history entered the offseason without a contract for the upcoming season, and while analysts have been speculating that Tom Brady could leave New England ahead of the 2020 NFL season, all-time passing leader Drew Brees seems to want another shot at winning a Super Bowl in New Orleans.

Brees is set to become a free agent on March 18th as his current deal will expire, but Brees shared his “feelings about the 2020 season” in a post on Instagram on Tuesday, and wrote that he wants to “make another run at it” with the Saints.

Brees, now 41, has played for 14 years in New Orleans, after starting his career with the Chargers for five seasons. Brees missed five games due to injury in 2019, and passed for 2,979 yards, 29 touchdowns and four interceptions.
