Sophomore guard Kira Lewis jr. was named the ‘SEC Player of the Week’ after his performances in the Crimson Tide’s loss to Auburn where he put up a triple-double that consisted of 10 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. He also dominated in their win over LSU where he tallied 27 points off of 36 minutes played.
The freshman guard Jaden Shackelford earned the ‘SEC Freshman of the Week’ recognition after posting 27 points in 30 minutes on the court against LSU.
Alabama currently sits on the bubble of making the NCAA men’s basketball tournament in March, but if they continue playing the way they did in these last few games, it should be smooth sailing into the tournament.
