The Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2020 may be the best ever

Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Tamika Catchings are finalists for the Hall of Fame.

The finalists for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2020 were named on Friday, and the Hall may enshrine the strongest group of players in history later this year. Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, Spurs great Tim Duncan, and Timberwolves and Celtics icon Kevin Garnett headline the class of NBA players, along with four-time gold medalist Tamika Catchings.

A 24-person North American Honors Committee will vote on the NBA finalists, and each finalist needs at least 18 votes to be enshrined. A separate 24-person Women’s Honors Committee will vote on finalists from the women’s game.

The official Class of 2020 will be announced on April 4th during the Final Four.

Four players were named finalists to join the Class of 2020 – all locks to be enshrined:

  • Kobe Bryant
  • Tim Duncan
  • Kevin Garnett
  • Tamika Catchings

A total of four coaches have also been named finalists.
