If you’ve been following along with the recent mock drafts, it’s no surprise that the Raiders are most commonly mocked a receiver in the first round. Most of the time, it’s either Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy or Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb that is slotted into pick No. 12 for the Raiders.
However, not many people are discussing the possibility of the Raiders addressing a different position at No. 12 and selecting a receiver at No. 19. If the Raiders to wait on receiver, they would still have several intriguing options later in the first round.
One such player that could help fill the role of a No. 1 receiver right away is TCU’s Jalen Reagor. As a 20-year old in the Big 12, Reagor racked up over 1,000 receiving yards on 72 receptions for the Horned Frogs. He’s one of the most explosive players in the draft and has the ability to help out on special teams, as well.

While Reagor might not have elite size, he certainly has no problem winning in the air against bigger cornerbacks. In fact, he might just be the best bad-ball catcher in the entire draft with his monster catch radius.
If the Raiders are looking to get more explosive and dynamic at the wide receiver position, Reagor might just be a perfect fit in Jon Gruden’s offense. He can win with route running to create easy separation and is nearly unstoppable after the catch.
The best pro comparison for him is Stefon Diggs, with potentially more speed. Assuming he can adjust to NFL route concepts and coverages, there is no reason he can’t develop into a true No. 1 receiver in just a few years. Expect Reagor to put on a show at the NFL Combine and solidify himself as a top-25 selection in April’s draft.
