At the start of last season, Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert opted not to re-up with the team on a longterm contract. He continued to work last season and publicly his future was in question. Fortunately, Colbert did sign a new contract with Pittsburgh for the coming year but according to him, he plans to keep it one year at a time.
Colbert has been the team’s GM since 2010 and has helped build teams that have consistently in the mix for the AFC. It sounds like Colbert has no intention of leaving the Steelers for another team but is leaving his option to retire after any given season open.
