Glenn Robinson III, Alec Burks will be in Sixers rotation vs. Clippers

The Philadelphia 76ers will include Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III in the rotation against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Philadelphia 76ers got a taste of Glenn Robinson III in Sunday’s win over the Chicago Bulls, but now they want to see what Alec Burks can do.

After not playing on Sunday against the Bulls due to just getting in on a red-eye and he and the team agreeing that they should not play him due to being cautious, the Sixers are ready to throw him into the fire.

“Oh yeah, he will play,” said coach Brett Brown on Monday at practice. “I will play him against the Clippers and I will play Glenn against the Clippers. Those two will be in the rotation. They will be in the game tomorrow.”

Now, does that change what Brown wants to do? There was a report that he and general manager Elton Brand had discusses making a change to the starting lineup and maybe play a little more small ball, especially against a versatile Los Angeles Clippers team, but Brown does not see it that way.

“It’s an unlikely sort of group that you have to match up with,” explained Brown. “How we do that, how we start the game, how we match up, we’ll discuss more tomorrow. There is a lot of mobile wings more than a lot of top-heavy bigs.”

The Sixers and the Clippers matchup at 7:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday in Philadelphia. [lawrence-related id=25453,25447,25435]
