The Philadelphia 76ers have returned home after a nightmarish road trip and they are playing some good basketball, but they just found out some disappointing news at halftime.
Superstar big man Joel Embiid did not come out of the halftime locker room to begin the second half and it was then announced that he will be out for the rest of this one due to neck stiffness. He will finish the game with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
This is a disappointing thing for Philadelphia as they continue to try and gain chemistry as a group. They can’t continue to have these types of injuries happen in order to do so.

The one good thing about all of this is that Embiid will earn a nice rest. The Sixers are walloping the Memphis Grizzlies at home in the third quarter 82-55 and they have been led by Furkan Korkmaz who is approaching a new career-high in points as he already has 20 points.
