Nets quietly watch 2020 NBA Trade Deadline pass by

Quite a few deals were done before the 2020 NBA Trade Deadline. The Brooklyn Nets were not among the teams who made a trade.

Some teams made deals before the 3.p.m 2020 NBA Trade Deadline on Thursday. Some were in talks to get one done, but nothing came to fruition.

Then there was the Brooklyn, who had next to nothing going on.

Although it was reported the Nets were interested in Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins and that Spencer Dinwiddie had been brought up in the discussion, there was no indication the talks went far.

The Houston Rockets reportedly spoke to Brooklyn about Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince in a deal for Clint Capela — before he was traded to Atlanta — and the Lakers inquired about Dinwiddie’s availability. Nothing came from those talks, either.

But the Nets had no need to make a move at the deadline this year, unless there was a player Sean Marks felt he couldn’t re-sign in the offseason.
