Oklahoma City Thunder’s Chris Paul, who was just voted to the 10th All-Star Game of his career, was looking for a way to freshen things up, according to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. In an interview Silver did with NBCSports Chicago, he talked about how the format was changed to Elam’s idea. “(Paul) called me last summer and said, ‘I’m a big fan of The Basketball Tournament. And are you familiar with the so-called Elam Endings?’” Silver told the station. “And I said I was. I’ve watched it a few times. I said, ‘It’s fascinating to me.’”
