The Chiefs took a 7-3 lead over the 49ers in the first quarter of Sunday’s Super Bowl, but San Francisco’s defense made a couple nice plays that could have an impact as the game goes on.
Their first sack of the game on a first-and-10 from the 14-yard-line. The defensive line got pressure and forced Mahomes to slide to the right before DeForest Buckner dragged him down from behind.

Jimmie Ward also had a huge hit on Mahomes on a scramble on third-and-11, but Kansas City eventually plowed in for a touchdown. Mahomes ran an option with Damien Williams and kept it himself for a touchdown.
