This Raptors announcer calls out Jim Boylen for delaying end of game on Super Bowl Sunday

Somebody needs to send Jim Boylen home.

It’s Super Bowl Sunday. The game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Literally everyone in the world knows this unless you live under a rock.

Apparently, Chicago Bulls coach Jim Boylen lives under a rock.

The Bulls were being blown out by 25 against the Raptors late in the fourth quarter with just over a minute left in the game and… Boylen calls a timeout. A whole timeout. Down by 25. I wish I were joking.

Raptors announcer Jack Armstrong was completely fed up with Boylen. I’ve never heard someone more ready to get out of a place in my life. Listen to this guy.

Jim Boylen, what are you doing? What strategy are you talking? It’s a 25 point blowout, there’s a minute and four left, it’s Super Bowl Sunday. I want to get out of here.”

So I’m normally on the side of the coach who is just doing his job and trying to coach his guys up. But, fam, you’re down TWENTY FIVE.

Ain’t no timeout helping you. If the NBA were PlayStation, he’d be off the sticks right now. Once you’re down 21 points, it’s a wrap. Don’t call a timeout. Just quit the game.

That’s what Boylen needs to do here. Quit the game. Everyone’s Sunday evening will be so much better for it.
