LeBron James unveils ‘Mamba 4 Life’ tattoo tribute to Kobe

The Los Angeles Lakers star wrote that same message on his shoes on the night he surpassed Kobe Bryant on the All-Time scoring list.

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are less than three hours away from taking the court tonight for the first time since the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi, and seven others in a helicopter crash on Sunday morning. While the Lakers are playing a basketball game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Friday night promises to be a remembrance of Kobe Bryant’s life and career with the Lakers. LeBron James put a tribute on his own body, which he shared with the world a few hours before the game.

James teased that he was getting some new ink but now we see the full tribute tattoo he got for Kobe Bryant, which says “Mamba 4 Life.” LeBron also wrote the words “Mamba 4 Life” on his shoes last Saturday night when he passed Kobe Bryant for No. 3 on the NBA’s All-Time scoring list in Bryant’s hometown of Philadelphia.

ESPN’s coverage of tonight’s game in Los Angeles will begin at 7 p.m. PST.
