Texas Legends center Chad Brown recorded his third double-double of the season on Wednesday night with a career-high 14 points and 11 rebounds during a 132-127 loss to the Memphis Hustle.
The undrafted product from UCF finished by shooting 7-of-10 from the field while also adding three assists in 25 minutes of work. Brown continued to be a force on the offensive glass, hauling in four rebounds during the contest.
Brown used his athleticism down in the painted area, often cleaning up misses and catching lobs from his teammates, including an impressive one-handed alley-oop in the second quarter (around the 22-second mark of the video).
The Mavericks signed Brown to an Exhibit 10 contract prior to the season after a strong performance with the G League Elite Team during the NBA G League International Challenge in Uruguay in September. Brown averaged seven points, 7.3 rebounds, two blocks and one steal while leading the team in rebounding.
After his performance on Wednesday, Brown is now averaging 5.8 points and 5.8 rebounds in 29 games played this season with the Legends, which includes 24 games as a starter.
