Over the past few months, “BMF” titleholder [autotag]Jorge Masvidal[/autotag] and UFC champ [autotag]Kamaru Usman[/autotag] have engaged in trash talk online and through the media – especially during UFC 246 fight week.
On Wednesday, Masvidal (35-13 MMA, 11-4 UFC) and Usman (16-1 MMA, 11-0 UFC) had the opportunity to mouth off face-to-face. The two top UFC welterweights were separated at Super Bowl LIV’s Radio Row at the Miami Convention Center in Florida, but not before verbal jabs were exchanges.
“Do something,” Usman is heard saying in a video captured by USA Today’s Andy Nesbitt. “I hear you talking. That’s all I hear, you talking. Do something. Do something. Do something. You come up talking? Do something.”
Masvidal responded, “You’ve got a cast on, (expletive). You’re lucky. That’s the only reason nothing has happened to you.”
Neither Usman nor Masvidal are booked at this time. With UFC president Dana White adamant Conor McGregor will fight Khabib Nurmagomedov next, it’s very possible Usman and Masvidal face each other.

Last week, Usman suggested (on Twitter) “journeyman” Masvidal fight him first and then move on to McGregor. He also indicated UFC president Dana White is on board with the Usman vs. Masvidal matchup.
Despite the callout of his client, Masvidal’s manager Abe Kawa claimed on Twitter Usman is injured. Publicly, Masvidal has remained open-minded to the possibility of Usman matchup or a fight against McGregor — whichever comes his way.
Check out USA Today’s video of the altercation above.
