Vikings draft CB Jaylon Johnson in 1st round of mock draft

In both 2018 and 2019, Johnson was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team.

It’s no secret that the Vikings are in the market for a cornerback this offseason.

There’s a pretty good chance that the Viking could be without Xavier Rhodes, Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander in 2020.

In Lance Zierlein’s newest mock draft over at NFL.com, he has the Vikings taking Utah cornerback Jaylon Johnson with the 25th-overall pick.

Johnson enters the draft after three seasons at Utah. In 2019, he had 36 tackles and two interceptions.

In both 2018 and 2019, Johnson was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team.

More than anything with mock drafts this early, it’s best to go on what position the team takes rather than the player. It would be a huge surprise if the Vikings didn’t take a cornerback with one of their first three picks in the upcoming draft.
