Tiger Woods’ shot was perfect — until it wasn’t.
Woods seemed to have lined up an eagle on the second hole during his fourth and final round at Torrey Pines during the 2020 Farmers Insurance Open. He chipped the ball onto the green, and with one bounce, the shot bounced into the hole. Except it then immediately bounced out of the hole.
That’s right: Woods holed out of an eagle from 141 yards. He was not happy. After opening the round five spots back from the leader, John Brahm, Woods finished with a birdie on the second hole. He’ll have to make up ground in the coming holes.
⛳️ @TigerWoods nearly holed out from the fairway.
The ball went IN the hole … and came back out. 😳 pic.twitter.com/ikm21gLSju

Folks on Twitter were impressed — and disappointed.
HOW DID THAT NOT GO IN?!?!?
This is not an exaggeration. It jumped in the hole and jumped out.

Tiger! How?! It literally disappeared! pic.twitter.com/hGVmlZMErZ

How does that happen?
On the second hole of his final round at Torrey Pines, Tiger Woods *almost* holed out for eagle. Well, he did for a second. But it came out.

What a beautiful approach shot by Tiger Woods on the 2nd hole! Almost an eagle! The ball went in the hole and then it came out! He tapped it in for a birdie! He is 7 under par! @TigerWoods, @FarmersInsOpen, @CBSSports, @PGATOUR, @GolfChannel

Yes this has to be the worst break in the history of golf. I have never in my life seen a golf ball do this. Tiger woods should have had an eagle here, instead it's a birdie. https://t.co/vVGsogalGG
