LeBron James, Lakers cruise past Nets 128-113

Kyrie Irving was back in the lineup for the Nets, but Brooklyn could not hang with the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

Kyrie Irving was back in Brooklyn’s starting lineup on Thursday, but he and his teammates could not get past the LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, as the Nets lost 128-113.

The Nets have now lost five games in a row and 12 of their last 14.

Irving led the Nets with 20 points in the loss, finishing 7-for-15 from the floor (3-for-6 from 3-point territory). The point guard also registered four assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block in his 33 minutes of work.

However, Irving finished with a team-worst -26 plus-minus. Three other Nets finished with a double-digit, negative plus-minuses. Jarrett Allen finished with a -24, Garrett Temple a -21 and Taurean Prince was a -18.

Although Prince had a high plus-minus, he finished second in scoring for the Nets with 18 points. He went 6-for-13 from the floor (3-for-7 from deep). Prince also had three steals.

Spencer Dinwiddie played facilitator throughout. He dished out 13 assists throughout the night. He also had seven rebounds in his seven-point performance.

Caris LeVert (16), Wilson Chandler (15) and Temple (11) each finished in double figures off the bench.

James led all scorers with 27 points in his triple-double effort (12 rebounds and 10 assists).
