The Washington Redskins announced two new additions to Ron Rivera’s coaching staff Thursday.
First up is Brett Nenaber as the team’s director of player performance and following that is Jeff Zgonina as an assistant defensive line coach.
Nenaber is merely the latest addition who has past experience under Rivera after holding multiple roles with the Carolina Panthers. He’s spent seven seasons in the NFL prior to this.
Zgonina has spent four seasons in the NFL so far while bouncing around with different teams, including stints with players like Damon Harrison and J.J. Watt.
While these aren’t headline items for Rivera’s staff, they’re key additions in not only the way they help in the short term, but give long-term promotion candidates.
