Draft prospect Javon Kinlaw thinks he can be better than Aaron Donald

The highly touted defensive prospect thinks highly of his potential in the league.

The week of the Senior Bowl is underway and the perceived draft stock of players will rise and fall. One player whose stock is expected to rise is South Carolina defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder has the physical tools to make it at the next level.

He also has the confidence.

During media availability this week in Mobile, Alabama for the Senior Bowl, Kinlaw was asked if he thinks he could have the same sort of impact on a team like Aaron Donald has had for the Los Angeles Rams.

He gave an emphatic answer, according to Draft Wire managing editor Luke Easterling.

“I think I can be better,” he said.

Donald has been a Pro Bowler all six seasons he has been in the NFL. He has been a first-team All-Pro each of the last five. He is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year. He is largely considered the best defensive player in the NFL.

Kinlaw believes he can be better than that?

Donald is well on his way to the Hall of Fame.

Kinlaw could be in play for the Arizona Cardinals if he continues to trend in the direction he is headed currently with his draft stock. The Cardinals have the eighth overall pick in the draft and lack talent on defense.

He will be a player to watch this week in the Senior Bowl and as the draft approaches.
