WATCH: Kevin Durant shoots around at Nets practice

Kevin Durant continues to progress with his rehab, but the Brooklyn Nets have not changed their stance on whether he’ll play this season.

Recently, and on more than one occasion, Kenny Atkinson has expressed Kevin Durant is progressing well with the rehabilitation of his surgically repaired right Achilles, which the forward ruptured during the 2019 NBA Finals while with the Golden State Warriors.

With there being no indication of a setback for the Brooklyn superstar, the question now becomes: will Durant make his Nets debut in the 2019-20 season. Since the team’s media day, the Nets have stated they do not expect he will play this year. Durant has said the same thing.

At Wednesday’s practice, Brooklyn’s head coach maintained there has been no change from the Nets regarding Durant’s return. But reporters were at least given a taste of where Durant is in the rehab process, which Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily new made sure to capture on camera:

Brooklyn is back in action on Thursday when they welcome LeBron James and the Lakers to Barclays Center.
