As the Philadelphia 76ers get set to take on the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday to conclude their three-game road trip that is a pretty important matchup in the grand scheme of things, there is a little sidebar for this one.
Rookie big man Norvel Pelle is expected to be active and play on Wednesday which will mark the 45th and final NBA day on his two-way contract. The Sixers will need the size to battle Raptors big men Pascal Siakam and Marc Gasol so it makes sense that the Sixers will make him active for this one.
Pelle is averaging 1.5 blocks per game along with 2.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 13 games with Philadelphia and he has made a solid impact. With the trade deadline coming up, the team is not expected to convert his deal just yet in order to keep the flexibility, but don’t rule him out completely once the deadline passes.
As a result, this will mark his 45th and last day that he’s eligible to play with the Sixers as a two-way player. https://t.co/MNZY3dRSsH

While the Sixers missed Pelle against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, they were able to come away with a victory after moving Ben Simmons to the center spot.
Tipoff from Toronto is set for 7:00 p.m. EST from Scotiabank Arena. [lawrence-related id=24012,24005,23996]
