Joe Harris, Garrett Temple expected to return soon

The Brooklyn Nets expect to have two of their shooting guards back in the near future.

Joe Harris was the latest Brooklyn Nets player bitten by the injury bug. He had to miss Saturday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks due to lower back soreness. And he wasn’t the only Nets shooting guard stuck on the sideline. Garrett Temple was also inactive on Saturday. He’s now missed three games in a row due to a right knee contusion.

Now, their injuries may be the byproduct of both Harris and Temple taking on greater roles and a larger amount of minutes while everyone else on the Nets has been battling injuries.

Kenny Atkinson told reporters after Saturday’s loss that Temple is “trending positive” toward a return on Monday. Atkinson also informed reporters he spoke with Harris following the loss and the guard told Brooklyn’s head coach he is feeling better:

Hopefully, we get [Harris] and GT back and get whole, get our lineup whole. I think that’ll help us.

The Nets get back to game action on Monday at 3 p.m. when the Philadelphia 76ers visit Brooklyn.
