Injury Report: Warriors will be without two starters vs. Orlando Magic

As the Golden State Warriors try and break their 10-game losing streak, the team will be without Draymond Green and Glenn Robinson III against the Magic.

As the Warriors trudge through their longest losing streak of the 2019-20 NBA season, things aren’t getting any easier in Golden State. Core pieces like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney have all missed almost 30 games this season. It doesn’t stop there, as the hits keep coming to the Golden State rotation.

Jacob Evans III recently entered the NBA’s concussion protocol after a hit to the face against the Dallas Mavericks, and now, two more members of Golden State have been ruled out against the Orlando Magic.

Both Draymond Green and Glenn Robinson III will miss the battle against the Magic due to injury as their team tries to snap a losing streak.

Green has missed nine games this season with a heel and foot injury; he will now be scheduled to miss his tenth game due to a finger sprain. According to Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, Green suffered the finger sprain Thursday against the Denver Nuggets.

Green will join the Warriors contingent on the bench along with Robinson III, who is dealing with an ankle sprain. Robinson III is enjoying a breakout season in Golden State with his best ability being availability during the 2019-20 season.

Robinson III has started every game for Golden State except once this season and has made the most of his opportunity. The Michigan Wolverine product is averaging 12.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, both doubling his career average.

Lessening the blow of losing two starters, the Warriors have opted to bring up two-way contract guard, Ky Bowman. Bowman is nearing the end of his 45-day NBA limit on his two-way contract, but with the Warriors dealing with so many injuries, they have no other choice but to play the guard.

Without Robinson III and Green, Kerr will have to rely heavily on D’Angelo Russell for scoring, and Omari Spellman inside. With the team missing both Looney and Green, Marquese Chriss, who recently rejoined the squad on a two-way contract, could get an increased role.
