It’s not February yet but we do have something of an update on the most important elbow in the state of Pennsylvania. Steelers president Art Rooney II talked about the elbow of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger this week and while he didn’t have anything definitive, he was optimistic about the bits of information he had been given.
“Everything we hear so far is positive. In particular Ben’s attitude about things,” Rooney said. “He seems to feel good about it. He really, still I would say in the early stages of his rehab and so he hasn’t been able to do a whole lot yet but that’s going to start to ramp up here over the next couple of months obviously. We’re anxious to see his progress.”
The 2020 season and beyond depends almost entirely on how healthy Roethlisberger is this season. With a world-class defense already in place, the return of a healthy Roethlisberger would instantly turn the Steelers into contenders in the AFC.
