The Philadelphia 76ers are missing their big man Joel Embiid due to a torn radial collateral ligament in his left hand, but on Wednesday, the big man returned to the floor and got shots up pregame before the team’s matchup with Brooklyn Nets.
Embiid is averaging 23.4 points and 12.3 rebounds on the 2019-20 season and the Sixers miss their big man in the middle, but with him beginning to get some work done, he could eventually return to the floor fairly quickly. He was scheduled to be re-evaluated in a week or two after the surgery on January 10, so his time will be coming up to check in on his progress and where he’s at going forward.

The Sixers have been struggling on the defensive end of the floor without their prime rim protector as Al Horford has not been able to fill in with the same type of production.
With their return home on Wednesday, they look to get back on track. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. EST. [lawrence-related id=23549,23539,23527]
