The Brooklyn Nets assigned three players to the G League on Monday: Nic Claxton, Dzanan Musa and Theo Pinson.
Claxton was with Brooklyn’s G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, on Saturday. In Long Island’s 119-109 win over the Greensboro Swarm, the Charlotte Hornets’ G League affiliate, Claxton logged his first double-double as a pro. In his 22 minutes of action, the Nets rookie score 20 points on 7-for-10 shooting (2-for-2 from 3-point territory) and corralled 10 rebounds. Claxton also blocked a shot and had one steal, as well.
Though both Musa and Pinson have been on assignment with Long Island at some point this season, both have yet to play in a game for Long Island in 2019-20, after appearing in 36 and 35 contests, respectively, last season.
Long Island is back in action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. when they play host to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the Indiana Pacers’ G League affiliate. The game can be seen on ESPN+.
