We’re starting to get an idea of who Panthers coach Matt Rhule wants on his staff. On Thursday, the Athletic reported Rhule is interested in bringing two coaches from Baylor with him to Carolina, including defensive coordinator Phil Snow for the same role. Today, Ian Rapoport at NFL Network reported Rhule is also considering LSU’s passing game coordinator Joe Brady to be his new offensive coordinator.
Brady has done tremendous work with LSU’s offense this season. While it doesn’t hurt to have a Heisman-level talent running the offense, Brady’s designs also played a hand in Joe Burrow’s magnificent campaign.

Before he came to the Tigers, Brady worked as an offensive assistant for Sean Payton with the Saints two years. He also has coaching experience at Penn State (Rhule’s alma mater) and William & Mary, where he played wide receiver during his career.
Brady is just 30 years old, which fits what team owner David Tepper has talked about regarding a younger, forward-thinking staff.
Carolina fans can watch Brady, Burrow and the Tigers take on Trevor Lawrence and Clemson in the college title game on Monday night.
