UFC is kicking off its 2020 schedule with the first numbered pay-per-view of the year next weekend in Las Vegas, and UFC president Dana White will have a special guest in attendance to see Conor McGregor face Cowboy Cerrone in the main event.
On Friday, White shared a video that went viral in December, which shows Best Buy employee Summer Tapasa-Sataraka blocking an alleged shoplifter from exiting the store. White wrote that he’s flying Tapasa-Sataraka to UFC 246, and that he wants to hire her to work for him.
This is Summer. She stopped this punk from getting away with stealing from BestBuy in Hawaii. She got fired for this. Flying her in this weekend and giving her tickets to the McGregor vs Cowboy fight. I WANT HER TO WORK FOR ME! Get ready for the best weekend of your life Summer pic.twitter.com/8yF5FLrlnU

According to White’s post, Tapasa-Sataraka was fired for her actions in the store, but she explained in an interview with Hawaii News Now that she was leaving the job anyway.
“I could hear my manager in the back of me saying, ‘Let him go, Summer. It’s okay, let him go. Let him go,'” recalled Tapasa. “They would rather let an item go than us risking our lives, and I totally understand that. I appreciate that.”
The Salt Lake woman said she would have been fired for violating the company’s policy, but she had already put in her notice to resign because she wanted to focus on her other job.”
