In the video below, David tells stories of how he called a couple of former Jets GMs, Mike Tannenbaum and Mike McCaggnan with suggestions.
A clip is played from an ESPN radio show earlier in the day where Tannenbaum says long ago he received a call from David, who told him to select Reggie Bush in 2006.
David also takes a swipe at Bill Polian for wanting to make Lamar Jackson a wide receiver. He adds later in the segment with Kay that he called McCaggnan and told him to draft the Heisman winner out of Louisville in 2018. And he says “I have a witness.”

In 2016, David told Charissa Thompson, filling in for Dan Patrick, that he could be the Jets’ offensive coordinator.
