Life as a fan of one of the NFL’s two Ohio teams can be hard. The Cleveland Browns just faceplanted and the Cincinnati Bengals just started what looks like a lengthy rebuild — and that’s only to quickly address the most recent surface wounds.
But somebody has an idea to potentially make the struggle more manageable.
According to Danny Eldredge of Hannah News Service, someone has submitted a petition to the State Medical Board of Ohio to allow being a Browns or Bengals fan as a medical marijuana condition in the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program.
According to Jackie Borchardt of the Cincinnati Enquirer, more than 100 petitions were submitted a year ago and nearly 30, including the plight of the Ohio NFL fan, were submitted this time.
The formal process is likely to weed this petition submission out quickly. With any luck, sweeping offseason changes for both franchises will lead to the elimination of such ideas in the first place.
