Sixers rookie Marial Shayok displays versatile game in Blue Coats win

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Marial Shayok continues to show off a good all-around game for the Delaware Blue Coats.

While the Philadelphia 76ers continue to grow on the basketball court, their second-round rookie continues to play well in the G League.

The team’s other rookie, Marial Shayok, showed off an all-around game filling the box score with 25 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists to go along with three steals to lead the Delaware Blue Coats to a 122-109 win over the Westchester Knicks on the road. Shayok shot 8-for-17 from the floor and he also drilled five from deep on 10 attempts.

It’s this type of offensive performance that shows why Philadelphia selected him back in June. He has a lot of talent and continues to show off a lot of potential for a future call up to the Sixers.

Meanwhile, Zhaire Smith had 16 points and two steals while knocking down a couple from deep in 30 minutes of playing time and Norvel Pelle had 10 points and three rebounds with a block. Smith has yet to play a game with the Sixers in his second season in the league as he continues to work on his game. [lawrence-related id=22971,22964,22955]
