Another top WR prospect enters NFL draft

He is expected to be a first-round pick and could be appealing to the Cardinals, especially if they trade back.

The Arizona Cardinals have the eighth pick in the 202 NFL draft and it is speculated that they could take a receiver with their top pick. They will have their choice of talented players if that is a choice they make.

Alabama receiver Henry Ruggs III is the latest to declare his eligibility for the draft.

He is expected to be a first-round pick, joining Alabama teammate Jerry Jeudy and Alabama standout CeeDee Lamb.

Ruggs has game-breaking speed.

The six-foot, 190-pound wideout had 40 catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns in 2019. He also averaged 23.8 yards on 12 kick returns.

He doesn’t quite have the length that Jeudy or Lamb have but his speed will appeal to someone early in the draft.

As of now, he probably would not be in play for the Cardinals at No. 8, but should they trade back, he could be a target as they hope to give Kyler Murray weapons to use in 2020.
