With the Boston Celtics set to play the Washington Wizards on Monday night, a few players and head coach Brad Stevens addressed the media prior to the matchup.
As Marcus Smart was wrapping up his shootaround availability, the sixth-year veteran was greeted by a familiar face in the scrum of reporters: Teammate Grant Williams. Williams apparently jumped into the group well before Smart finished speaking but he didn’t notice Williams there until the end.
For about 45 seconds, Williams, as he told Smart, stood there and recorded Smart talk about how the Celtics need to play against the Wizards. Smart was none the wiser.

Since joining the Celtics, Williams has often served as the comedic relief on the team. The rookie has been seen joking around with his teammates several times this season and has typically been the life of the party.
The influx of younger players has contributed to a positive locker room environment this season after the team dealt with several in-house issues last season.
The Celtics are in second place in the Eastern Conference at 25-8.
