Former Redskins LB Lorenzo Alexander announces retirement

Lorenzo Alexander has called it quits on an amazing career.

Former Washington Redskins linebacker Lorenzo Alexander has decided to hang up the cleats after more than a decade in the league.

Alexander joined the Redskins in 2007 and played through 2012, drumming up memorable moments and plays along the way. He then went on to two different stops before settling with the Buffalo Bills for the last four seasons.

The veteran calls it quits with 407 total tackles and 33 sacks to his name. Eight of those sacks and 111 tackles were registered during his time with the Redskins. His Bills dipped out of the playoffs over the weekend due to the loss at the hands of the Houston Texans.
