Eagles fall to Seahawks 17-9 as Carson Wentz leaves game with concussion

Philadelphia Eagles knocked out of playoffs after 17-9 loss to Seahawks as Carson Wentz leaves game with a concussion

The Philadelphia Eagles season is over and likely ended the moment Carson Wentz’s head slammed on the turf after taking a dirty hit from Jadeveon Clowney.

The Seahawks, behind a Russell Wilson 53-yard hookup with DK Metcalf and Marshawn Lynch rushing touchdown, defeated the Eagles 17-9 in the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs on Sunday afternoon.

Carson Wentz was knocked out of his first career playoff start with a head injury following a helmet-to-helmet hit from Jadeveon Clowney.

Russell Wilson threw for 325 yards and, Metcalf, selected after the Eagles JJ Arcega-Whiteside, had seven catches for 160 yards.

It was the second time in two months that the Eagles were defeated at home by Seattle, and by the same exact score.
