Report: Redskins hiring several former Ron Rivera coaches

The Redskins are making some notable moves.

It was only a matter of time before Washington Redskins head coach Ron Rivera started bringing along some of the people in the industry he knows best.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Redskins will bring on head athletic trainer Ryan Vermillion, a key former Rivera connection who has nearly 20 years of experience in the field.

Also coming over, according to Joe Person, is offensive line coach John Matsko and wideout coach Jim Hostler.

The appointment of a new head athletic trainer is the most interesting note here thanks to the Trent Williams factor — and he’s reportedly considering a comeback.

If someone as reputable as Rivera is backing someone like Vermillion, the organization, if not the Williams situation, could improve in a hurry.
