Boston Celtics two way center Tacko Fall had a block party of his own on Friday, recording six rejections while playing for the Maine Red Claws.
Just days after Celtics teammate Enes Kanter logged as many with the parent club, the UCF product had an 11-point, 6-rebound night to go with his half-dozen blocks in a close win over the Agua Caliente Clippers, the eponymous Los Angeles club’s G League affiliate.
He also shot an efficient 4-of-5 from the floor, making up for a 2-of-5 night from the charity stripe.
While two way floor general Tremont Waters was with the Celtics to help cover for starting point guard Kemba Walker’s absence due to illness, Boston’s rookie guard Carsen Edwards was with the Claws, and logged 21 points on 8-for-23 shooting with 5 boards on the evening.
It was his fourth 20-point game with the G League affiliate.
The Purdue product will join the Celtics in Chicago today with a chance to earn some minutes against the 13-22 Bulls, but will need to start finding the bottom of the net a little more often if he’s not going to garner minutes with the parent club.
