The Washington Redskins rookie class is looking good.
Over at Pro Football Focus, two Redskins show up on the year-ending top 50 list.
One isn’t hard to figure out — breakout wideout Terry McLaurin. He’s actually slotted No. 3 overall amongst all rookies:
“His 86.5 receiving grade is the best we have ever seen from a Washington wide receiver (since 2006), and his 12 deep receptions are tied for the second-most among the same group.”
The other rookie to pop up is a little more surprising — rookie passer Dwayne Haskins.
Haskins slots 33rd, and the writeup notes his ability to keep turnover-worthy plays at a minimum is a big part of it. There are accuracy concerns remaining alongside the usual rookie developmental path, but showing up at all after a slow start is a good sign.
Considering these two are part of the nucleus the Redskins want to build around, it’s good to see them both slot at all despite the lost season.
