Two key Rams defenders left Sunday’s game against the Cardinals early with what appeared to be significant injuries. Cory Littleton exited with a chest injury, while Michael Brockers left a little while later after injuring his ankle; Brockers needed to be carted off.
Sean McVay didn’t have an update on either player after the win, but on Monday, he shared some news on their statuses. Littleton was diagnosed with a pulmonary contusion and Brockers had a cast on his left ankle.
The team is still waiting for the results of the MRI on Brockers’ ankle, which will reveal the significance of the injury.

The Rams’ season is obviously over, but there could be lingering effects of these injuries for both Littleton and Brockers. They’ll become free agents in March and any sort of injury concerns can hurt their value on the market.
Littleton finished the year with 134 tackles, 3.5 sacks and two interceptions, while Brockers had three sacks, 63 tackles and nine quarterback hits.
