“There’s joy in hard work. And this is it, right here. I’m just telling you that right now. There’s joy in hard work — this is it. And this is just the beginning. Trust me on that one.” – Brian Flores
If you’re not ready to run through a brick wall upon reading Flores’ thoughts after seeing the Miami Dolphins walk into Gillette Stadium and defeat the Patriots 27-24, perhaps hearing it will do the trick. The Miami Dolphins pulled back the curtain to give their fans a look at the team’s celebrations after a stunning win to upend the AFC playoff picture and end the Dolphins’ season on the highest of notes.
How bout them Dolphins?

These Dolphins fought through some of the most adverse of conditions in recent memory — a stripped down roster lost three of their best players within the first two weeks of the start of the NFL season. Bidding farewell to Laremy Tunsil, Kenny Stills and Minkah Fitzpatrick certainly dug this team into a hole. But now? On the other side of that? The leftover players who endured this season will be stronger, mentally tougher and more committed to Brian Flores for it. This is what building a culture looks like. That’s been something Miami has lacked for years — too many flashy names and not enough commitment to a daily standard. Those days appear to be in the past.
With Brian Flores at the helm, we can only hope this team continues to take on the personality of their coach — as teams often do. If that materializes for the Dolphins, Miami is going to be a tenacious group in 2020 and beyond and the dreams of ending this stretch of mediocre football in South Florida may finally come true.
