After a long exasperating 2019 season, the Jacksonville Jaguars are less than 24 hours away from the conclusion of it. However, before they wrap things up they will have to take on one last opponent in the Indianapolis Colts, who are a longtime rival of theirs. With the opportunity to surpass their win total from 2018, here is how we’re feeling about the Jags’ 2019 season finale:
James Johnson (@Sportsgrind_Don): Colts 28, Jags 14
The Jags will be without Leonard Fournette Sunday, who was the biggest key to success for the them because he possesses the ability to control the clock. However, without him, the Jags’ defense is going to likely see a lot of time on the field against the Colts’ top-10 ranked rushing attack and it won’t be pretty.
Jacob DeLawrence (@_Jdela): Jags 27, Colts 24
The Colts literally ran all over the Jags the last time the two teams met. I expect more of the same this time. However in typical Jags fashion the team will find a way to steal this game and they will be enough for Doug Marrone and Dave Caldwell to keep their jobs.
Phil Smith (@PhiltheFilipino): Colts 20, Jags 9
This rickety roller coaster of a season will finally come to an end and the real fun can begin for Jaguar fans. The Colts beat up on them pretty bad last month and while I don’t expect it to be as lopsided as the first meet up, I still anticipate a Colts win.
Daniel Griffis (@DanDGriffis): Colts 27 Jags 16
The end of the regular season has finally arrived and the Jaguars have found themselves back in NFL purgatory, with little light at the end of the tunnel. With Gardner Minshew II listed as questionable and Leonard Fournette, and A.J. Bouye ruled out, this seems like a disappointing end to a similarly disappointing season.
Robert Ricks (@rrickswriting): Colts 31, Jaguars 13,
The Jags could be without Gardner Minshew II while tailback Leonard Fournette will miss the game with the flu, so on paper this game isn’t looking favorable for them. In fact, for the Jags, Sunday’s game looks like one in which can’t end fast enough. The Colts have a very unpredictable offense, but should take this one easily with their polished run game.
